Pinnacle Home Improvements

Enjoy the benefits of a Spray foam insulation from Pinnacle.

Spray foam is one of the most efficient and modern insulation methods available on the market today. With the costs of energy bills rising every year, no matter which provider you choose, consumers are seeking alternative methods to help warm their home.

  • Thermal efficiency
  • Achieves maximum U-values Air tightness
  • Thermal conductivity as low as 0.025 W/mk
  • Eliminates air infiltration
  • Fast to apply and quick to cure
  • Flexibility in use
  • One solution, many applications

Spray foam insulation is designed for internal walls and lofts, but can also be applied to floors, soffits and, with minimal change in formulation, can be used for cavity wall insulation and stabilization.

Air moves in and out of a home through every hole, crack, and crevice. Roughly 33% of air infiltrates through walls, ceiling, and floors. Adding an advanced insulation system is necessary to achieve optimal building performance. Lapolla is that advanced insulation system.

Spray foam insulation can maximize a homeowners investment by sealing the building envelope to stop conditioned indoor air from escaping and prevent unconditioned air from entering a home.

Air exchange in and out of a home is a leading cause of escalated energy bills. The mechanical systems that heat and cool buildings are continuously operating; reducing extreme temperature variations saves on the overuse of mechanical systems and leads to lower energy bills.

Spray foam is one of the most efficient and modern insulation methods available on the market today. With the costs of energy bills rising every year, no matter which provider you choose, consumers are seeking alternative methods to help warm their home.

At Pinnacle Home Improvements, we recommend to customers keen to reduce the costs of their utilities that they have our spray foam installed into their property.

How it works?
Spray polyurethane foam acts as a barrier between the home and outside, creating a seal that can conform to any architectural design.
Traps air inside tiny glass fibers that contain small bubbles of air, which slows the transfer of heat.
Made of shredded newspaper and a fire retardant chemical (borate), the paper is broken down into cellular fibers.
Does is seal air inside your home?
Installation method
Sprayed by a certified spray foam applicator, spray foam can adapt to any structural design.
Folded, wrapped and cut to place in walls. Slanted and/or high ceilings and outlets can lengthen installation time.
Cellulose insulation is blown into walls. The material requires small amounts of water and glue to keep it in place.
6-6.6 per inch
2.2 per inch; loses up to R-Value 50% if it becomes damp
3.5-3.8 per inch
Performance in Hot/Cold
Excellent thermal properties and a sealant for your home that keeps warm and conditioned air in your home year round.
Doesn’t hold in heat well. Loses 40% of insulating capacity when outside temperatures are below 20° F.
Doesn’t stop air leakage by sealing. Weather will cause wind and air pressure to enter through the small holes in the insulation.
Energy efficiency
Most efficient.
Less efficient.
Less efficient for your keeping your home insulated, even though it’s made from recycled newspaper.
Health Hazards
Polyurethane spray foam insulation consists of diisocyanate, which isn’t scientifically detectable after 1 hour of when the foam ins applied. Installing spray foam requires a professional certification and proper equipment to install it.
Fiberglass can be installed by anyone. Due to its long process for insulating around electrical outlets and windows, often insulation isn’t completed properly. Leaky ducts can pull loose fiberglass insulation and spread its particles throughout your home. Its small particles can be inhaled and cause serious respiratory conditions. The resin that bonds fiberglass can also emit small amounts of toxic fumes.
Not sealing your home means dirt and moisture can cause mold, mildew and bacteria to grow. Blown cellulose insulation is prone to create dust that is then blown through cracks in the walls and creates a health hazard.

Features and benefits

Installing spray foam insulation will help save you and your household money every year

Installing spray foam insulation will help save you and your household money every year. The spray foam will seal air within the property and help prevent heat loss; this will make it cheaper to warm your home in the winter and help you save money every year.
If you wish to sell your home in the future, buyers will find buying your property with a more attractive option. The savings begin immediately upon installation

Many illnesses like asthma and allergies are often caused by airborne pollutants such as dust, dirt, carbon monoxide and many more.

By choosing spray foam insulation, your home will be sealed from a wide range of pollutants in the air. Many customers notice a positive difference in their health after installation.

As our spray foam insulation is installed, you will find that your home is more comfortable than ever before. Drafts will be a thing of the past as they will be eliminated in your home. The seal created by the spray foam installation will help reduce cold and hot spots within the home as gaps are closed. This contributes to an even temperature within your property.

If your home is near a noisy area, you will not have to suffer anymore as the spray foam seal will help reduce the effect of noise.

Current guidelines recommend up to 10 inches of insulation in your loft. This is usually added to the ground, rather than the roofline, which results in the loss of your storage area, due to not being able to refit floor boards after installation.

By implementing spray foam insulation to the roofline, you regain the lost 10 inches, thus increasing storage, height and practicality – Reclaim your loft space!

Spray foam insulation can help support the overall structure of your property.

This is dependent on the application and thickness of the spray foam on installation.

Built-in thermal efficiency minimises heat loss from your doors…

Bi-fold doors can account for a significant proportion of a walls surface area so it is important that they act well as an insulator, keeping your home warm by preventing heat loss. Our bi-fold doors can be specified with either double or triple glazing and both options act in much the same way, reflecting heat back into your room.

Intelligently designed seals and gaskets prevent leakage at the point where two panes of a bi-fold meet, and the door itself is thermally broken which means that the aluminium frames and sashes are built with a centrally integrated polyamide barrier to stop the aluminium conducting heat.

Pinnacles Home Improvements new Lapolla AirTight spray foam insulation has many protective benefits for the home. It restricts air movement, which stops moisture accumulation so that the possibility of mould growth is less likely to occur.

A huge benefit of spray foam insulation is that it helps deter pests from entering your home. Once the spray foam has solidified, pests of all kinds will find it difficult to enter your home through the now sealed areas.
